Linn Community Food Bank
The first Sunday of each month is FOOD PANTRY SUNDAY when members donate non-perishable items by bringing them to worship. The items collected are delivered to the Linn Community Food Bank. Bagged donations are placed next to the pew aisle and collected during the Children's Message.
Other missions we support:
Olivet Neighborhood Mission
Greensquare Meals
Sunday Evening Meals Program
Solon Community Food Pantry
North Liberty Community Pantry
We also support Sharing the Dream, Heifer International, Souper Bowl of Caring, and others.
CROP Walk for Hunger is a community-wide event sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local volunteers to raise funds to end hunger. Our church combines with other local churches - St. John Lutheran Church of Ely and the Shueyville United Methodist Church - each year to walk for hunger.
Presbyterian Church Missions
We support missions of the Presbyterian Church (USA), the Synod of Lakes & Prairies, and the Presbytery of East Iowa. Our congregation helps support many missions world-wide, in the United States and locally through contributions. We do this through our "per capita" contributions, and by special offerings throughout the year.
