Stewardship
We very seriously take care of the earth, care of each other, and care of the church. Surrounded by great oak trees, a stream, field and meadow lands, the church is in the center of some of the most beautiful area of Iowa.
Through agriculture and conservation we model good practices. We are in the process of establishing a native prairie meadow friendly to monarch butterflies, bees, and wildlife on our lower meadow. We host bee hives on the upper meadow. In 2017, we established a small orchard. We monitor our water usage and erosion into South Hoosier Creek. We actively take care of the woods and are developing a new tree planting schedule.
As for our monetary budget and mission giving, we strive each year to stretch oursevles. We pay particular attention to the volunteering of our church family in the community and at church.
